Coffee farming is a pure form of art.
It’s an art, basically because of the ton of effort, care and intricacy used to produce one good coffee bean.
Reality is, it’s easy to grow coffee but it’s hard to grow good coffee.
Growing good coffee entails a lot of knowledge and work to produce that beautiful red cherry down to getting that perfectly roasted bean.
This became more evident when we started to grow our very own coffee in our farm at La Granja Francisco, Sitio Bagalangit, Dahilayan Bukidnon.
Our farm is located near the foothills of Mt. Kitanglad savoring the cold climate does create a perfect atmosphere for farming Arabica coffee beans.
This farm is a home to a few variety of coffee beans mainly Arabica beans. The beautiful flavors that envelop each coffee bean also are very unique due to the vicinity and the surrounding species within the farm.
Witnessing first hand the intricate care in planting the coffee down to the hand-picked harvesting really changed our perspective. Despite the small number of this team, they are determined to deliver great coffee in every cup.
The heavy demand of the coffee industry also pushed them to explore new methods in farming, getting new equipment and learning more on how they can give a better experience not only to their partner shops but also aiming to get a better batch of beans day by day.
Our experience in growing coffee made us appreciate more and more this tiny yet multifaceted bean.
We are excited about what La Granja Francisco’s coffee beans will become in the next couple of years, brewing its way to coffee goodness a unique concoction you’ll always want more.
